Upcoming Short Film Tackles Addiction and Redemption

Upcoming Short Film Tackles Addiction and Redemption

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news about our latest project, 'The Pursuit Of Forgiveness' that delves deeply into themes of addiction, redemption, and family. This project has been months in the making, and now, as we edge closer to production, we’re inviting our community to join us in bringing it to life. Our Crowdfunding Night, set for November 26th in Belfast at The Black Box, is not just a fundraiser but an evening filled with cinematic magic, live discussions, and community support for independent film.

About the Film:

'The Pursuit Of Forgiveness' examines the difficult journey of reconnecting with oneself and loved ones after the trauma of addiction. Through a compelling narrative and complex characters, we aim to shed light on the often-hidden struggle many face and the resilience required to reclaim one’s life. The film doesn’t shy away from the darkness, but it also highlights the hope and strength found within families and communities. In today’s world, where addiction impacts so many, we hope to bring these stories to the forefront, sparking conversations that can inspire change.

Why Crowdfunding?

Independent filmmaking thrives on the support of the community, and that’s why we’re reaching out for your help. Producing a film that does justice to its themes requires careful craftsmanship, dedicated resources, and the right tools. Our goal is to raise £3,000, with a stretch goal of £5,000 to cover payments for our super talented Cast & Crew, paying for our filmming locations but also to help pay for film festivals etc. Every pound will directly contribute to creating a film that represents the care and detail these important themes deserve.

What to Expect at Our Crowdfunding Night:

The night promises to be a memorable one! We’re curating an evening packed with activities for every film enthusiast:

  • Screening of Selected Short Films – An array of locally-produced shorts will be shown, providing a glimpse into the creativity within our community.
  • Q&A Session with Special Guests – We’re honored to have an exciting special guest joining us for a live Q&A session! We’re hoping to welcome other talented guests as well, making this an unmissable experience for anyone interested in screenwriting, acting, and directing.
  • Raffle with Exciting Prizes – Local businesses have kindly donated a range of prizes, from gift vouchers to unique experiences, all available to win in our raffle.

Your presence at this event is more than a ticket sale. It’s a show of support for meaningful storytelling, a boost for independent film, and a way to help spread awareness on the vital issue of addiction and recovery.

How You Can Support

Can’t make it to the event? No worries—our GoFundMe page is live, and every donation helps us get closer to our goal. Contributions of any size are incredibly appreciated, and sharing our campaign with friends and family makes a world of difference.

If you’re as passionate about authentic stories as we are, join us on November 26th at The Black Box. This film is more than a project; it’s a mission to reflect and share the struggles and victories that come with facing life’s hardest challenges. We can’t wait to see you there, and thank you in advance for being part of this journey with us!
